One of the many roses that took my fancy at Highbank was a Hybrid Tea called ‘Mon Petit Chou’ (My Little Cabbage). Endless layers of strong pink ruffles open in the style of a cabbage rose, sometimes exposing the strange green spikes in the centre.
Inspired by these I added some raspberry pink ruffled sims (which also has an exquisite scent), striped euphorbia, ivy berry, sedum and snowberries for a really bold but feminine statement. This is the sort of bouquet I could see Kirsten Dunst carrying in Marie Antoinette – the stems were finished with a corset of vintage silk shantung laced with french knots, quite befitting the Queen of France, non?
Not to be outdone, the King shall wear a sim carnation boutonniere framed with euphorbia and ivy berry.
