Valentine’s Day 2013 in review

Here’s a little Valentine’s Day wrap up for all you hopeless romantics who still haven’t had enough (you know who you are!)…

First let me say that I was truly touched at how much thought all you ladies and gents put into these gifts. Valentine’s Day has become such a commercialised event that a bunch of flowers might feel more like an obligation, instead of a heart-warming gesture. Not at floriography – the sentiments of gratitude, love, appreciation, adoration, purity, strength, faithfulness, preference, refinement, selflessness, warmth and many others won hearts as they were delivered throughout Melbourne.

Not only were valentines bowled over with their sweethearts’ efforts – but I even heard that the amazing scents of these bouquets announced their presence well before they were even seen!

Here are some of my favourite memories from this Valentine’s Day…

Valentine's Day 2013

If you received your Blooming Expressions first thing in the morning you would have been greeted with Trav’s smiling face – he loves making the ladies’ day and jumped at the chance to spread some love on Thursday! All other deliveries were courtesy of my equally smiley friends at Green Light Couriers – except for one – I took the opportunity to present the winner of The Wedding Zone’s recent competition with her goodies in person – bubbly, movie tickets and a blooming expression – what a lucky gal!

If you ‘don’t believe in Valentine’s Day’, you haven’t lost your chance to support the Heart Foundation. During the whole month of February for any gift purchased which includes red roses, I’ll donate 10% of the sale to the Heart Foundation’s valuable work. Talk about winning hearts!
