Spring Racing Carnival Part 2 – Cox Plate

I hope you enjoyed last week’s look at Caulfield Cup Day.

Today I bring you the highlight of the Moonee Valley Spring Racing Carnival – Cox Plate which runs on Saturday 25th October 2014. With a history dating back to 1922 this celebration is the third richest Australian horse race with total prize money of over $3M currently.

So how does one match such an impressive introduction? Let me show you…

sr_flw_cecilbrunneroseThe rose Cecile Brunner was selected to mark the occasion of Cox Plate. Her dainty soft pink/peach petals evoke a time of refinement and delicacy – when men still held the door open for their ladies and modesty was the name of the day.

To embrace this era of chivalry and tea length frocks, partner Cecile Brunner with a dress of soft watercolours, floral prints or delicate details. Fitted or flared, just add heels and a crown or comb of Cecile Brunner and you’ll have an outfit fit for a proper lady.
