Floriographer

Hello and welcome! My clients have entrusted me to bring a gardenesque quality to their weddings and events throughout Melbourne and the Macedon Ranges since 2011.

I feel so fortunate to have grown up in the beautiful Macedon Ranges countryside. I would follow my mother around our abundant garden – marveling at the many fragrant delights and picking flowers for friends and to enjoy at home.

When I moved to the city I quickly became disenchanted with the cut flowers available in stores, what they lacked in scent and character they made up for in stiff uniformity! This was not how I remembered flowers.

Floriography is inspired by the lost Language of Flowers popular in the Victorian era, but unsatisfied with merely reviving this forgotten language, I set out to reconnect my clients with the scents and colours of the flowers in their own memories. I also felt a responsibility to include many sustainable practices in the operation of the business, some of these include favouring locally grown flowers, zero floral foam, composting green waste, recycling water just to name a few.

Using the very best seasonal flowers and herbs allows me to conceal something very special, invisible within your bouquet, a secret language of flowers that only you will understand – creating and reviving precious memories that will live on long after the petals have faded.

Every arrangement I create is a one-of-a-kind, never to be replicated celebration of the season; a thoughtful and delicate balance of colour, fragrance and texture that has been infused with the essence of your very own love story.
